The project, named Curragh Community College, will feature two stories and a total of 37 classrooms, with a sprawling floor area of approximately 10,000 square meters.
The educational facility will also include various auxiliary facilities, such as an external bin store, an electricity substation, a caretaker's office, a storage shed, a heat pump enclosure, car parking, drop-off areas and bicycle parking.
The facilities, if granted, will be shared with the adjoining Kildare Town Educate Together and Gaelscoil Mhic Aodha.
