Residents raised concerns on the Kildare Today programme on Tuesday.
Kildare County Council has confirmed to Kfm that the road on Main Street in Kilmeague is listed for resurfacing as part of the road works programme for 2023.
Local residents in the area had been expressing concern at the condition of the road in recent weeks, with potholes a particular issue outside the Castlebawn and Oak Lawns housing estates.
Cllr. Brendan Wyse confirmed that a budget of €200,000 has been allocated to cover 900 metres of the R415.
Meanwhile, KCC stated that temporary repairs will be carried out in advance of the resurfacing works.
