Dual-fuel customers will save around 370-euro a year.
Kildare residents signed up with SSE Airtricity are in line for electricity and gas price cuts from February.
It's thought a price cut by one of the country's main energy providers could trigger a price war.
SSE Airtricity is cutting its electricity rates by almost 13 per cent, and gas by 11.5 per cent, from February.
It's estimated standard dual-fuel customers will save around 450 euro a year on their bills.
It follows a 12 per cent cut announced in September.
