Scoping Inquiry Reveals Over 64 Historical Abuse Allegations In Religious Schools Across Kildare

A scoping inquiry report, published yesterday, included over 2 thousand 400 allegations, involving 884 alleged abusers, at over 300 schools.

Over 64 allegations of reported historic sexual abuse are alleged to have taken place at number of religious schools across Kildare.

Victims' groups are calling for a redress scheme to be set up for the survivors of abuse at schools across the country.

A scoping inquiry report, published yesterday, included over 2 thousand 400 allegations, involving 884 alleged abusers, at over 300 schools.

A Commission of Investigation has been announced, but a redress scheme recommended in the report has not been decided upon.
