The report contains over 50 recommendations on matters including trade, infrastructure, education and the Northern Ireland Protocol.

The Seanad Special Select Committee on the Withdrawal of the UK from the EU, has issued an interim report on the impact of Brexit on UK/EU trade.

The report, which contains over 50 recommendations on matters including trade, infrastructure, education and the Northern Ireland Protocol, also examines affects of the cooperation agreement on the Irish economy, households and businesses.

The committee as established to monitor Ireland’s preparedness for Brexit, analyse its impact, and engage with stakeholders in Ireland and overseas

Martina Lawless is a Research Professor at the ESRI.

She joined Ciara Noble on Friday's edition of Kildare Today.
