Happened at approx. 8am on Thursday morning
Leixlip Gardaí have confirmed a serious traffic incident took place in Celbridge on Thursday morning.
The incident happened at approximately 8am, between Tesco & the junction for the Aghards Road, in the town.
A bin lorry and a female cyclist in her 40s were involved.
The woman was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.
Gardaí confirmed she suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 11.40am, Gardaí noted the road remained closed, due to examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
