A driver was detected driving 31km over the speed limit in Kilshanroe recently.
When the Garda Roads Policing Unit issued the driver with a fine and penalty points, he responded by saying "I couldn't care less."
Gardai subsequently learned he was in a rush as he was going away for his wedding anniversary.
The driver was fined €160 and given 3 penalty points.
