Status Yellow Rain Warning Issued For Kildare As Flood Advisory Remains In Place

This week, sandbags were deployed in parts of Newbridge, and a pedestrian bridge over the Butterstream has been closed as flood precautions remain in place across Kildare.

A Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for Kildare.

It will come into effect at 3am tomorrow and will last until 3am on Friday.

This week, sandbags were deployed in parts of Newbridge, and a pedestrian bridge over the Butterstream in Clane has been closed as flood precautions remain in place across Kildare.

Access to the pedestrian bridge where the Butterstream meets the River Liffey has been closed due to high water levels.

The Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team continues to monitor the River Liffey and Poulaphouca Reservoir.

With further heavy rain forecast, a flood advisory remains in place.
