Gardaí say comments online speculating and linking his death with immigration and international protection is completely false.

A man in his 30s has died after falling ill near Saggart luas terminal in Dublin yesterday evening.

He was taken to Tallaght hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí say comments online speculating and linking his death with immigration and international protection is completely false.

They say it is not only unhelpful but is upsetting to family members and is appealing to the public to independently verify any information they get on social media and messaging apps.
