The Taoiseach says the intervention of the US President in the Northern Ireland protocol row is significant and sensible.

The issue will be raised at a meeting of the G7 in England when Boris Johnson and Joe Biden meet later today.

The US President is expected to warn the British Prime Minister that any disagreement over trade rules can't damage the peace process.
