Teachers Warn Negative Views Of DEIS Schools Are Damaging Pupils’ Self-Worth

Teachers interviewed as part of the survey report a toxic culture towards the scheme means pupils write themselves off before they've even begun.

Negative stereotypes around DEIS schools are causing students in these schools to think less of themselves.

A report from TASC is highlighting issues facing schools in disadvantaged areas across the country.

Dr Sara Singleton from TASC says if everyone believes the school is bad, it's very hard to turn that perception around.
