Kildare County Council has announced that the temporary playground at the Bawnogues, Kilcock, will be closed from Monday July 14th 2025.
The closure is to facilitate the removal and relocation of equipment to the new purpose-built playground, currently under development, adjacent to the new community centre.
The new Bawnogues Playground is said to include a sensory and taste garden, as well as an inclusive and accessible play environment for children of all ages and abilities.
The project includes the reuse of existing equipment alongside the installation of new, sustainable, and inclusive play features.
The new playground is scheduled to open in early September 2025, subject to weather and construction progress.
