Kildare County Council has investigated ten properties over suspected illegal short-term letting in the past three years - seven in 2023 and three last year.
No new cases have been opened so far in 2025.
The figures, compiled by the Irish Independent, form part of a national picture showing more than 1,600 investigations by local authorities since 2023.

Since July 2019, owners in Rent Pressure Zones have been required to obtain planning permission for short-term letting, unless the property is their main home or a second home rented for fewer than 90 days a year.
