The Celbridge Local Electoral Area has the highest 14 day Covid 19 incidence rate in Kildare, and its above the state figure.

The statistics are for the period August 10th to 23rd, when the national rate was 526.4 cases per 100,000 people.

The Celbridge LEA rate is 578, with 125 new Covid diagnoses.

144 people in the Maynooth Local Electoral Area were diagnosed with the virus in those 2 weeks.

The rate there is 484.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the Leixlip LEA, the rate is 472.9 with 75 new cases.

131 people in the Clane Local Electoral Area were diagnosed with Covid 19 in those 14 days.

The rate there is 460.7

The Naas LEA rate is 452.4, with 177.

125 people in the Newbridge Local Electoral Area were diagnosed with the virus in that time-frame, and the rate is 352.3

There were 87 new cases in the Athy LEA, and the incidence rate there is 327.8 cases per 100,000 people.

The Kildare Local Electoral Area has the lowest rate in the county, at 276.2, with 71 new cases.
