Two men have been arrested after two armed robberies at fast food outlets in Newbridge last night.
Gardai were called to an outlet on Eyre Street at around 8.30pm, where two men entered a fast food outlet on Eyre Street, Newbridge and threatened staff members with a knife while demanding cash.
A short time later, gardaí were alerted to a robbery taking place at a takeaway on Charlotte Street.
Gardaí arrested two men, in their 20s and 40s.
They're being questioned at a garda station in the county , where they can be held for up to 24 hours.
