Watch: Emotional Scenes At Dublin Airport As Soldiers Return From Lebanon

Plenty of tears were shed, as parents were reunited with their children after a long six months.

More than 180 soldiers have returned home from Lebanon today, just in time for Christmas preparations.

The members of the 126th Infantry Battalion were deployed in the region for the last six months.

They were met by a large crowd at Dublin Airport with handmade signs, t-shirts and balloons to welcome them home.

Plenty of tears were shed, as parents were reunited with their children after a long six months.

During their time overseas, these soldiers witnessed rising tensions, and a number of attacks from the Israeli Defence Forces in the region.
