Irish Water has announced a water upgrade for Ballymore Eustace.
The project, due to begin next week, represents a significant investment in Broadleas which is being prioritised as part of Irish Water’s national Leakage Reduction Programme.
Irish Water will be working in partnership with Kildare County Council and will replace over 1.5km of old and problematic water mains with new pipes along the local road between Ballymore Eustace and Broadleas.
A road closure will be required for the duration of these works, the road closure is as follows, from Goldenfalls Hydro Electric Plant going south to the junction of local road L2026.
A diversion in place will be via the R411,Irish Water advises that these details will also be communicated locally.
It said the overall goal is to provide a more reliable water supply, prevent leaks and improve the water quality in the area.
The works will be carried out on behalf of Irish Water by Ward & Burke Construction and are expected to be completed by the end of July of this year.
