Former Minister Katherine Zappone is to be asked to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs to answer questions about the controversy over the UN Special Envoy role.
Two Kildare TDs, Independent south county deputy, Cathal Berry, and Kildare North Fianna Fáil TD, James Lawless, sit on the committee.
It comes as Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney faces a confidence vote in the Dáil this evening.
