Almost 64-thousand cases of Covid19 have been confirmed over the past five days.
Figures have been released from last Thursday until today, showing a total of 63,954 cases of Covid19 registered through PCR tests and the antigen portal on the HSE website.
The number of Covid patients in hospitals has increased by 25 percent in the past week.
There’s 1,308 people with the virus today, - the highest in more than 13 months.
There are 49 people in ICU with the virus.
The Department of Health hasn’t given an update on the number of new cases in Ireland since last Thursday because of the long weekend.
