The number of people arriving in Ireland from overseas increased by 138 per cent in July compared to the previous month.
Over 380 thousand people travelled here last month while more than 428 thousand passengers left the country to go abroad.
That's more than double the number in June - but still down around 80 per cent on pre-pandemic levels, according to CSO figures.
The UK and Spain were the two most popular destinations for travel last month.
