The two-vehicle collision happened just before 3pm yesterday afternoon on the N2 at Annamarran near Carrickmacross.
A woman in her 30s and a 7 year old girl from one of the cars were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Louth.
The driver of the second car, a woman in her late 50s, was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin.
Gardai have examined the scene and want to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
