The rate of vaccinations is slowing down

Only 82,000 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the week that ended on Tuesday.

Just 6,300 got the jab on Monday, as 91 per cent of over-18s are now fully protected.

Immunologist Lara Dungan is encouraging those who haven't got the jab to come forward.

At the peak of the rollout, over 300,000 people were vaccinated every week.

The rate of vaccinations is slowing down, as over three-quarters of the Irish population have got at least one dose.

Immunologist Lara Dungan says unvaccinated people are putting themselves and others at risk
