60,000 fewer women were screened last year.
97 per cent of Cervical Check tests were sent to foreign labs this year.
According to figures provided to Aontu leader Peadar Toibin, 60,000 fewer women were screened in 2020.
Construction of the National Cervical Screening Laboratory will be completed by the third quarter of next year.
Deputy Toibin has described the completion date as 'astonishing', given it has been roughly four years since the Cervical Check scandal broke.
