Gardaí are investigating the incident.
A man is in a serious condition following an alleged assault in Dublin last night.
The man, who is in his 20s, was discovered by gardaí at Bachelors Walk just before midnight.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment where his condition is described as serious but not life threatening.
No arrests were made and gardaí say they are investigating the incident.
