Gardai are appealing for information on a crash in Galway in which a man died.
Three cars travelling on the eastbound lane of the M6 were involved in a collision shortly before 1pm yesterday.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three women, who were the drivers of the other two cars, and a passenger in another, were taken to Galway University Hospital for treatment.
Two of the women remain in hospital today.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the east or westbound lanes of the M6 between 12.40pm and 1pm yesterday to contact them.
