Two other people lost their lives in drowning incidents in Cavan and Leitrim on Wednesday night.
A 15-year-old boy has died after a swimming accident earlier this week.
He got into difficulty on Tuesday while swimming in Lough Shealin, which borders Cavan, Westmeath and Meath.
He was brought to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin and was pronounced dead yesterday evening.
