A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman in her 80s was found dead in Dublin.
The woman's body was discovered with fatal injuries at a residence in Seville Place in the north inner city, just before midday today.
A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder, and is currently being questioned at Store Street Garda station, where she can be held for up to 24 hours.
The woman's body remains at the scene pending a technical examination, and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out later today.
