The HSE says emergency departments will remain open and urgent cancer treatment and dialysis appointments will still go ahead
Routine hospital procedures and outpatient appointments are among the HSE services facing cancellation ahead of a strike by public sector workers next week.
The HSE says emergency departments will remain open and urgent cancer treatment and dialysis appointments will go ahead on the day.
The HSE says affected patients are being contacted, and appointments for Wednesday will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
The cancellations include community-based services, clinics at primary care centres and other care services.
A curtailed ambulance service will be in operation and people requiring urgent medical attention are asked to call 999 or 112 or attend their nearest Emergency Department
The HSE is engaging with health sector unions about contingency arrangements and to develop a more complete understanding of what can be delivered on Wednesday
