A man in his twenties has been apprehended by Gardai after an alleged attempted child snatching incident in Dublin's inner city.
It's understood that the quick action of local residents prevented the kidnapping of a two-year-old girl outside her home on Sheriff Street.
Gardaí confirmed that they responded to reports of the incident near the North Wall Women's Centre, with the arrest taking place shortly after midday.
The suspect is currently under investigation and being held in custody.
