Bank Holiday Blitz: 140 Drivers Arrested for Driving Under The Influence, Enforcement Continues

620 people were caught speeding by GoSafe speed vans.

140 drivers have been arrested for drink or drug driving this Bank Holiday Weekend.

That's according to the latest Garda briefing, as their Enforcement Operation continues across the country until 7am tomorrow morning.

620 people were caught speeding by GoSafe speed vans, although the number of Garda detections has yet to be released.

Three people have died in road crashes this weekend, bringing the total number of deaths on the roads to 58 for the first three months of the year - which is up over a quarter on the same period last year.
