20% of that money will be spent helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds

Cabinet is expected to sign off on a €100 million o package to fund the return to on-site teaching for colleges and universities.

Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris is seeking cabinet approval for the extra funds.

€21 million of that money will be spent helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds, supporting students experiencing financial difficulties while in college and overall student mental health.
