Choking Incident Understood To Be The Cause Of Toddler's Death In Waterford

It's understood she was found by her mother.

Gardaí say a family liaison officer has been appointed to support the family of a toddler who died in a "tragic accident" in County Waterford.

The two year old was rushed to hospital on Wednesday evening after being found unresponsive at her home in Dungarvan.

It's understood she was found by her mother.

A report will now be carried out by the coroner.

The Irish Independent is reporting the little girl, who was a twin, may have choked on the chord of a window blind.
