Croke Park Hosts Eid-Al-Adha Prayers For The Second Year.

200 people gathered in the stadium this morning.

People are being encouraged to share well wishes with any Muslim friends or neighbours today, as Eid-Al-Adha gets underway.

The two-day religious festival is one of the most significant in the Islamic calendar.

Around 200 people marked Eid at Croke Park in Dublin today, with the venue being used again this year to allow for social distancing.

Dr Rachel Woodlock, Assistant Lecturer in Religious Studies at UCC, says a kind gesture would mean alot to those celebrating the holiday

 

Leitrim hurler Zak Mordai says it's very significant that the GAA opened up its headquarters to the Irish Muslim community once again:
