The HSPC has released new data.
The number of Covid outbreaks in schools more than doubled last week.
There were 90 outbreaks, according to figures published by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
That compares to a total of 40 confirmed for the previous week.
Of the 90 outbreaks in schools for the week ending the 18th of September, 78 were in primary school settings.
