Fewer businesses went into insolvency in the first 6 months of the year compared to the same time last year.
Figures from Deloitte show 169 firms went out of business between January and June, a fall of 38 percent.
The number of insolvencies dropped in Leinster and Munster while increasing in Connacht and Ulster.

Some of the sectors affected include services, construction, retail and hospitality.
