€50 million is being invested in a new research and development centre in Dundalk in Co Louth.
Hiab announced the investment at its truck mounted forklift facility today, which is expected to open in 2023.
The load handling equipment provider says its developing a new 'Factory of the Future' to replace its existing Dundalk facility.
It will include the company's manufacturing operations and a global hub for innovation and R&D for the global truck mounted forklift sector.
