20,000 new electric vehicles set to be sold in Ireland in 2023.
Electric car sales have surpassed the sale of diesel cars at garage forecourts in Kildare and across the country for the first time.
A quarter of all new vehicles sold in Ireland during the first quarter of the year are either fully electric or plug-in hybrid.
That's according to figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
It is expected that more than 20,000 new electric vehicles will be sold in 2023.
Speaking on Kildare Today on Kfm, SIMI Director General Brian Cooke says the price of EVs are coming down.
