Emergency Response In Kilkenny: 12 Injured, Including Eight Children, In School Bus-Truck Collision

The driver of the truck, in his 40s, was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital.

Eight children and four adults have been rushed to hospital after a crash between a truck and a school bus in Kilkenny.

It happened on the N77 at Ardloo this morning.

The driver of the truck, in his 40s, was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.

The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Eight children and two adults who were passengers on the bus were removed by ambulance to St. Luke's, Kilkenny with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí have launched a witness appeal .
