A route from Howth and Malahide will open and service areas like Baldoyle, Donaghmede and Portmarnock
The entire system will involve the creation of around 230 kilometres of priority lanes, while also includes the felling of around 3,000 trees.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says it is a long-term project:
We've been talking about this for years but the first phase of the new BusConnects network will begin on Sunday. The next phase will include a 90 minute fare with free transfers between bus, Luas, DART and Commuter. https://t.co/a5iZjAuLvM
