It follows the shooting of David Byrne at the Regency Hotel in 2016.
The trial of Gerry “The Monk” Hutch gets underway this afternoon, for the murder of Kinahan associate David Byrne.
Mr Byrne was shot six times in February 2016 in the Regency Hotel in North Dublin by a team of armed raiders, some of whom were dressed as Gardaí.
Former Sinn Fein Councillor for Dublin City, Jonathon Dowdell, and his father Patrick will be sentenced before the trial begins, having admitted to facilitating Mr Byrne’s murder last week.
