The Government says the latest projections on Covid 19 are stark.
Up to 500 people could need critical care by next month under the worst case projections by NPHET.
It also predicts there could be up to 12,000 cases a day in a pessimistic situation.
Kildare based Professor Paul Moynagh of Maynooth University says health officials have been to slow to act in certain situations, like antigen testing.
