Government Introduces €80K Caravan Loan For Traveller Families

The scheme allows local authorities to offer loans with increased limits, rising from €40,000 to a maximum of €80,000 in certain cases.

A new National Caravan Loan Scheme has been announced to provide Traveller families with affordable, preferential loans for purchasing caravans or trailers as primary residences.

The scheme allows local authorities to offer loans with increased limits, rising from €40,000 to a maximum of €80,000 in certain cases, such as for larger households.

An initial funding of €4 million will be allocated in 2025 to support the scheme.
