Jessie Buckley took home the award at last night's ceremony in London for her role as Agnes Hathaway in 'Hamnet', a film based on Maggie O'Farrell's bestselling novel of the same name.
'Hamnet' also won the award for Outstanding British Film, while the big winner of the night was 'One Battle After Another', which took home six awards.
Irish visual effects artist Richard Baneham won for his work on 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' - his third BAFTA.
