Labour Senator Ivana Bacik has been confirmed as the party's candidate for the Dublin Bay South by-election.
Her name was the only one submitted when nominations closed earlier this afternoon.

Former Fine Gael TD Kate O'Connell has confirmed she won't be a candidate to replace Eoghan Murphy in the constituency.
O'Connell said she was interested in the nomination but had no contact from party HQ and felt she wasn't the candidate Fine Gael bosses wanted.
