Few changes are expected at Cabinet
Government party leaders will meet this evening to finalise details of tomorrow's Cabinet reshuffle.
Leo Varadkar will become Taoiseach with Micheál Martin rotating to the job of Tánaiste.
Micheál Martin attended his final European Council summit as Taoiseach last night, getting a sendoff from other EU leaders.
Along with a short tribute video the leaders exchanged pre-Christmas presents, with the Taoiseach gifted a Croatian soccer jersey with the number 10 his name on the back as one of the presents.
After flying back to Dublin earlier Micheál Martin will meet Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan to finalise the details of the last two years of the coalition.
Few changes are expected at Cabinet.
The Finance and Public Expenditure briefs will swap between Paschal Donohoe and Michael McGrath.
While all will be watching where Micheál Martin wants to land.
The speculation is Foreign Affairs, which would likely displace Simon Coveney to Enterprise.
