It would bring the minimum wage to above €12
The Taoiseach says it would be unusual for the government to reject a recommendation from the low pay commission.
It follows reports the body is set to recommend a rise of more than 12 per cent in the minimum wage.
If the measure is adopted it would mean the rate going from 11 euro 30 cents per hour to 12 euro 70 cents.
