Women in 70s killed just an hour before local bypass opened.
Main Street in Macroom has re-opened following yesterday's fatal collision between a truck and a woman in her seventies.
Witnesses are being urged to come forward and Gardai in particular want to speak to anyone who attended to the woman directly after the collision, shortly before 1pm.
The woman's death came just one hour before a local bypass opened, removing hundreds of heavy goods vehicles from the Cork town.
