A joint investigation by RTE Investigates and the Sunday Independent looks into sexual allegations during female soccer course in Leixlip in September 1996.
A major investigation has revealed multiple allegations of unwanted or inappropriate sexual advances by FAI coaches in the 1990s.
Former international players who participated in Ireland's first state-funded all-women's soccer course have made the claims in a joint investigation by RTÉ Investigates and the Sunday Independent. The full time soccer skills course for girls in association with FÁS took place in Leixlip in September 1996. Several participants from the course have come forward and alleged that head coach Eamonn Collins made unwanted and inappropriate sexual advances.
Gardaí have confirmed they've launched an investigation into at least one complaint.
