Revenue officers seized approximately 54 kilograms of herbal cannabis
A man in his 40s is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, after a 1 million euro drugs bust in Dublin on Thursday.
A search was carried out by revenue officers seized approximately 54 kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €1,080,000.
Gardaí arrested a male (40s) who is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in Dublin.
It was part of an intelligence led operation targeting persons suspected to be involved in organised crime, a joint operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) North Central Divisional Drug Unit, with personnel attached to the Revenue Customs Service.
Investigations are continuing.
