A man has been charged following an assault in which another man died in Dublin yesterday.
The man - who is in his 40s - is due to appear in court this afternoon.
24-year-old Jamie Kavanagh was found dead at a hostel on Harrington Street in the capital yesterday.
He was originally from South County Dublin and had been living in the hostel for a number of months.
He and the man arrested and charged were staying in separate rooms.
The man in his 40s who was arrested by Gardaí yesterday has since been charged.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon.
